Playgroup and Preschool Classes
Our Playgroup:
“Let them be little, because they’re only that way for a while”
Welcome to our playgroup, where our main objective is to provide your child with a warm and loving first introduction to school. Your child will enjoy playing and interacting with other little friends of the same age, as we introduce them to a variety of activities, including colouring, painting, music and dance, dress up, messy play, ball play, baking – where the children play with flour and dough, and lots of outdoor fun!
Junior Preschool:
“Play is the foundation of lifelong learning.”
Our aim is to encourage, and to stimulate each child’s social and emotional needs, as they begin to gain a sense of self, explore, interact with their peers, and learn how to share through play. While helping them to become familiar with a classroom setting and routine in a safe and loving environment, weekly theme structured activities focus on fine and gross motor skills, social, and emotional skills, each based on individual developmental abilities. Our routine includes the following: Painting, cutting and pasting, threading, puzzles, drawing, outdoor gross motor, fantasy, baking and free play.
Morning ring introduces the children to the world of colours, shapes and counting.
Senior Preschool:
“Play is the serious business of childhood” Jean Piaget
In the senior classes, our experienced teachers focus on all areas of learning, in a structured environment, paying close attention to each child’s strengths, interests and needs. Our stimulating, carefully planned and facilitated structured and spontaneous classroom activities, provide a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences, contributing to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well being of each child. This lays the foundation for the total development of each child. They are exposed to a variety of basic scientific and mathematical concepts. Language and literacy are also promoted by encouraging each child to participate in conversation, stories and news time, incorporated into morning ring. Our morning programme includes the following: Creative art (Fine motor skills); Communication, Language skills and development; Reasoning and numeracy (Maths); The world around us (Science); Evangeli Bible curriculum weekly activity; Music and dance; Physical Development (Gross motor skills).
- Reports are issued twice during the course of the year for the Senior Classes

“You can teach a student a lesson for a day, but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives”. Clay P. Bedford
